Fifteen years ago, unbeknownst to the general population, a small handful of refugees from a cataclysm-torn world found their way into the real world.

The strange refugee monsters, calling themselves Digimon, found themselves disoriented and unable to remember where they came from and why; with nowhere else to go and no able to find each other, they took up shelter with the human children who found and befriended them. They had no choice but to lay low and adapt to their new lives, with their fellow refugees and the world they left behind nothing but a distant memory.

After years of silence, when hostile new digimon begin to emerge into the real world, these scattered digimon and their human friends -- gifted with the ability to help their partners fight -- may be the only ones who can prevent these emergent monsters from wreaking havoc-- but when they begin to piece together the truth of why not only these new threats are coming through, but why they themselves came, and the state of the world they left behind... well.
Turns out that there's a lot more hiding under the surface left to be uncovered.
